Hello students, parents, and families! My name is Robyn Duffy, and I am absolutely honored and thrilled to be working here at Hangzhou Foreign Language School as your new English Teacher. What truly drives my teaching philosophy is the firm belief that every single student can achieve success when provided with the right encouragement and personalized support.

In my classroom, you can always expect a strong focus on curiosity, kindness, and critical thinking. I love incorporating project-based learning into our lessons to make English studies interactive, practical, and genuinely engaging. Language truly comes alive when we use it creatively!

I moved here all the way from Ireland with my two lovely cats, Luna and Salmon. While I miss the rolling green hills of home, I have completely fallen in love with life in China. I am endlessly fascinated by the rich history, vibrant local festivals, and most of all the incredible, diverse cuisine. Whether I am exploring a bustling night market in Hangzhou, sipping a cup of bubble tea, or trying a spicy new regional dish, I find immense joy in the warmth and hospitality of the people here. Living in this beautiful country isn't just a job for me; it is a personal adventure that I truly cherish every single day.

Outside of teaching, I am passionate about music, rock climbing, and traveling to new corners of this vast country. I cannot wait to learn all about your lives, your cultures, and your dreams alongside you.
